         Cactus Foothills North Annual Meeting and 2008/2009 Board of Director Election           
 
All Cactus Foothills North Little League members in good standing are encouraged to attend the 2008 Annual Meeting on SEPTEMBER 30TH, 2008. At the Annual meeting, the state of Cactus Foothills North Little League will be reviewed and the 2008-2009 Board of Directors election will occur. The Board of Directors and Officers will be elected at this meeting. The Board of Directors and Officers are expected to assume all duties and responsibilities associated with Board positions on OCTOBER 1ST, 2008.
 
To nominate members for the 2008-2009 Board of Directors election, click this link. All electronic nominations are due by SEPTEMBER 26TH, 2008. In addition, nominations for the Board of Directors may also come from the floor at the Annual Meeting. In that case, there must be a "second" (a member that supports the nomination being made) in support of that nomination for it to be valid.

Annual Meeting Logistics
    • Date: 9/30/2008
    • Time: 6:30pm - 8:00pm
    • Location: Black Mountain Elementary School Cafeteria (33606 N. 60th Street, Scottsdale, AZ 85262)
Annual Meeting and Board of Director Election Meeting Agenda
    • Cactus Foothills North Little League Annual Report: Includes condition of the League; annual financial report; review/assessment of property owned by the League; any property acquisitions investments by the League; names of members elected to the League this year;
    • Board of Directors Election: Members present at the Meeting shall determine the number of Directors to be elected for the ensuing year and shall elect such number of Directors. The number of Directors elected shall not be less than SIX (6); and
    • Officer Elections and Board Instatement: After the Board of Directors is elected, the Board will elect the Officers. After the election, Board of Directors shall assume the performance of its duties beginning OCTOBER 1ST, 2008. The Board's term of office shall continue until its successors are elected and qualified in accordance with the League Constitution
Board of Director Election Process Overview
    1. All members are notified of the Annual Meeting and Board of Directors at least SEVEN (7) days in advance of the meeting and election.
    2. Members in good standing nominate (<- click "nominate" to open the candidate nomination form) candidates for the Board of Director elections. ALL NOMINATIONS ARE DUE BY SEPTEMBER 26TH, 2008. In addition, nominations for the Board of Directors may also come from the floor at the Annual Meeting. In that case, there must be a "second" (a member that supports the nomination being made) in support of that nomination for it to be valid.
    3. The Cactus Foothills North Nomination Committee contacts all nominees to verify willingness to be nominated and to serve on the Board of Directors if elected.
    4. The final list of nominees that have been verified will be placed on the election ballot. Paper ballots will be at the annual meeting. Members should come to the Annual Meeting and vote for nominees on the 2008/2009 ballot between the hours of 6:30pm - 7:30pm. Ballots are placed in a sealed ballot box at the meeting. VOTING IS ANONYMOUS.
    5. At 7:30pm, voting for the 2008/2009 Cactus Foothills North Little League Board of Directors will close. The sitting Vice President of the League will be responsible for maintaining and securing the ballot box.
    6. The votes will be tallied by the sitting Vice President. The new Board of Directors is expected to start serving out its duties on October 1st. The Board of Directors will then have meetings and take action to select the Officers.
 
                  Cactus Foothills North and South Fall Ball 2008                      
This Fall, Cactus Foothills North and South Little Leagues will have a combined Fall Ball program. Players from both leagues will play together on fully integrated teams. The combined training and development program provides a different and enjoyable experience for players from both leagues and allows for continued development during the Fall season.
