Tee-Ball Division Local Rules
TEE-BALL DIVISION LOCAL LEAGUE RULES
2008
The Tee-ball Minor Division is comprised of a group of youngsters ages 5 - 6 as of the coming April 30, 2008. They will follow the Official Regulations and Playing Rules 2007 for Little League of America. The following local league rules will take precedence over the Little League of America rules:

Time Limit: No new inning after 1 hour.

Always promote good sportsmanship. No scores should be kept.

Both teams shall help set up the field prior to the game and clean up of the area after the game. Home team is responsible for balls and Tee.

Bases are placed 50 feet apart.

Batting helmets must be worn by all batters and base runners. Hats and baseball gloves are required for players in the field.

Catcher must wear all league provide catching equipment, including a face mask with a throat protector. Insurance policy requires all male catchers to wear a cup-type protective device.

No eating snacks or gum chewing during a game. Save your team snacks for after the game.

There will be no on deck batter. No player will have a bat unless at the batting tee.

No leading off, stealing, sliding or bunting is allowed.

Batter can be called out for unintentionally throwing the bat after one warning.

Batter is subject to ejection, at the discretion of the player's manager, for intentionally throwing playing equipment. Teach sportsmanship!

Batting through the order will constitute the end of a half-inning.

A batted ball must be hit 15 feet in front of home plate to be considered fair.

The last batter automatically hits a home run.

Base runners may only advance one base on an overthrow. Encourage players to throw to the bases.

If a batter or runner is called "out" because of a defensive play they must return to the bench. It is important for the player to understand the concept of "out".

Two defensive coaches are required on the field at all times.

All players on the roster are permitted on the playing field during their defensive half of the inning. There will be only 6 infield players with the remaining players in outfield.

Anti-collision rules are in place. A defensive player may not stand on or block the bases or base paths. Please instruct the players on the proper places to play.

No strikeouts.

No protests or forfeits exist in Tee Ball. Any issues or disagreements should be directed to the Player Agent.
