Re: SNACK BAR
The CFLL-North snack bars are an important part of our little league in that they help raise the funds to help offset the costs for lights and field maintenance items. It is important that we all respect this, and be good stewards of them.
Importance of a Team Mom
The snack bars have operating procedures specific to staffing, opening, running and closing. There are machines that require instruction to operate, as well as Department of Health and Department of Labor laws to be aware of. For this reason, we require that each team have a Team Mom. The Team Mom will need to attend a one hour training session at the snack bar prior to the start of the season to learn operating procedures. The Team Mom will be responsible for instructing the team parents who will be staffing the snack bars, and helping them with any problems during games. All parents interested may attend the snack bar training. Please let us know as soon as possible your Team Mom’s name, phone number and E-mail address so that we can make contact regarding training session dates and times.
Rules
While most of the rules for the snack bar are operating and safety specific, there are some items all Manager and Coaches need to know:
l. No one under the age of 16 is allowed in the snack bar. (Labor Law)
2. NO SMOKING IN THE SNACK BAR.
3. When unlocked, an adult must be present in the snack bar at all times.
4. Never assume there is another game after yours. If the next team has not arrived for a scheduled game, use closing procedures.
5. All teams are required to pay for team snacks. We plan purchases for the snack bars based on the number of games scheduled each week, and plan on a snack for each player. Team snacks are $1.00 per player. If you know your team will be having a party after a game, and will not be using the snack, please notify us 7 days in advance. We will plan accordingly.
6. Please remember that all items in the snack bar are purchased with limited Little League funds. While it doesn’t seem like one bottle of water or Gatorade would be missed, when you multiply that by 40 teams, little things add up to loss. If you would like something from the snack bar when it is not open, please pay for it. There will be a can on the counter. We appreciate all your help and effort in our little league snack bar endeavors.
